I am an incoming freshman student planning to attend the African Leadership University in May 2023.
With a suburban originality from Rido Gbagyi, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, there was nothing urban about where I grew up. With an unfavorable livelihood system in my origin, the natives were already acquainted with the system around them.

Campaign Story
I have been accepted to one of the most innovative universities in Africa, African Leadership University to study BSc. Software Engineering. I didn’t get this on a fully funded basis. I got the Community Leadership Grant ($6000) which covered part of my tuition. I am now left to cover the flight, my accommodation, insurance, part of my tuition, and visa/students permit.
Currently, I need N800,000 to cover these costs. I have so far raised N230,000 out of that amount by working for some firms and from family and friends. But I am currently out of options and I need your support to raise this money.
I am in need of financial assistance in order to attend college because I am a low-income student. I am the 1st child to attend college. Although my parents gave me many supports, I received limited financial assistance due to my low family income. To reduce my family burden, I took out student loans to pay for my tuition. Meanwhile, I am working 19 hours per week to support myself.
I wish to spend more time on my major courses because these courses are cores of my major and crucial in my future career. Unfortunately, the financial burden may lessen my time in mastering the courses. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate a helping hand so that I can successfully obtain my Software Engineering degree.
I have long admired the prestige of studying at African Leadership University because of its superb learning atmosphere combined with the relaxed academic environment that makes it a unique place to be. It is my greatest honor to be accepted into this program and become a student of your university. I am drawn to the college for its rich academic background and well-trained staff. I sincerely want to continue my plans to study at the African Leadership University this May intake 2023.
